Neil and Robin Ducharme live on the Jersey Shore with twins Ava and Lily. Neil, who is also the builder, takes on the challenge of building the perfect dream home for his family. Since his family wants to stay on the Jersey Shore, Neil purchased an existing lot right next door to their current home to build the new house. He will battle Hurricane Sandy and his wife's design indecisions in order to get his family the seaside home they've always wanted.

In each episode of Raising House, a different dream house is built from start to finish by an A-team of experts. Beginning with the vision, the architect and builder lay out the floor plan, select a construction approach and outline the unique features. Next, the groundbreaking sets the pace for the entire project as the construction team rolls with the punches and tries to stay on schedule.
